Virtualization of computer systems brings many possibilities. First and formost, the ability to run two versions of Windows at the same time on the same computer. Having some software that only runs on Windows 8 and some that needs Windows 10 is a case where virtualization makes sense. We think it is very underutilized right now, especially since hardware is not advancing at near the pace it used to. You can get alot more life out of your computer systems without major performance penalties by doing virtualization. Further migration to newer systems and overall reliability can be increased through virtualization. All without buying new computers and using free software to do it.
